Oslo, Norway
The was unfortunately little time to go fabric shopping, so here is just some stores rather close to the center.

- Sultan Tekstil (Youngs g 4, 0181 Oslo)
- All kinds of fabrics, some of them rather inexpensive. There was some fine linen as well, but unfortunately only a small piece was left.
- New Rainbow Tekstil (Storg. 28, 0184 Oslo)
- Lots of beautiful silks and brocades for reasonable prices. A good selection of ribbons. The entrance was hard to find as it wasn't on the Storgata side but on the side street.
- Midha Enterprise (Stenersg. 22 A, 0184 Oslo)
- This store was closed even though the opening times on the door claimed it should have been open. By the look of what we could see through the windows, they have a good selection of clothing fabrics..
Amsterdam, Netherlands
There are many fabric stores on Albert Cuypstraat and at least one excellent store selling ribbons and buttons.

- Lots of brocades, silks and other special fabrics.
Groningen, Netherlands
There are some fabric stores around but most of them are not easy to find.

- Jan Sikkes Lappenland (Boterdiep 5-7 9712 LH Groningen)
- Large fabric store with good selection of fabrics
- Grote Markt (Grote Markt)
- On Tuesdays (if I remember correctly), fabrics are sold on Grote Markt (the great marketplace). There is usually lots of inexpensive clothing fabrics but other fabrics can also be found.
Utrecht, Netherlands
I found no fabric stores, but a wonderful ribbon store was found.

- Passementerie Baars & v.d. Kerkhof (Lijnmarkt 33 3511 KG Utrecht)
- A wonderful selection of ribbons and a decent button selection. Some of the ribbons were rather expensive but most well worth their price in any case
